8th Light

8th Light

WHY THAT IMAGE?

This picture was taken at our recent apprentice welcome week. We brought together the new apprentices from all of our offices for a week in Chicago where they got to know each other, learned about the past, present and future of 8th Light, and shared their energy and enthusiasm with the rest of the company. And experienced deep dish pizza, some for the first time.

BendyWorks

BendyWorks

WHY THAT IMAGE?

We made the Big Green Button (center) as an IoT device that wirelessly transmits a signal to take a picture, and upload it automatically to Facebook with the event logo. We use the BGB like a photo booth, and make appearances at tech events and charity galas to build buzz around the event, promote BendyWorks and give back to our community. 2 of our developers, Will and Pearl are pictured with our CEO, Brad, all wearing glasses as we compete in NeXXpo's Most Innovative Company competition, as a tongue-in-cheek way of explaining that our NDAs are so strong we practically have DOD clearance.  In the middle is Israel Lopez, founder of Chins Up, a not-for-profit for whom we have donated hundreds of pro-bono hours over the last 2 years.
